Many times, rather than paying the fair value of the damages resulting from the loss, Florida insurance companies will choose to deny, delay or severely underpay your insurance claim. The insurance company dollars that do not go to pay an otherwise covered insurance claim will instead sit in an account and earn interest. The longer the insurance company can delay paying money, the more they earn. Florida has strict laws against this type of bad faith conduct by insurance companies but often, attorney involvement is needed.
